New services focus on Africa

Gosselin Logistics expands its activities and offers export from Europe and China to landlocked Sub-Saharan countries.

Geert De Wilde explains: “Shipping goods to an African harbor isn’t that difficult, it’s the trajectory afterwards to the inland destination that can be problematic. And that’s what customers want, they want to have their shipment delivered at the destination. Gosselin Logistics offers shipments to landlocked Sub-Saharan countries in-house from start to finish. Collaborating with the CrossTrades network means we have a elaborate network of local agents at our disposal. They have been screened and apply levels of quality that are similar to ours. In many cases these agents are Belgians who have acquired a thorough understanding of local African customs. Since we offer this service also in Asia through the CrossTainer network one could say that we are the only Belgian forwarder that connects Europe to China and Africa.”

Pairi Daiza collaboration - A cactus of considerable size

The most remarkable transport that Gosselin carried out in its collaboration with Pairi Daiza? Without a doubt, the impressive cactus, Pachycereus pringlei, from Tenerife, one of the most emblematic plants of the world’s largest tropical greenhouse, Edenya.

An exceptional project in full bloom: Gosselin and Pairi Daiza

Pairi Daiza was looking for a reliable partner to handle all aspects of importing plants and materials from outside Europe. Everything was destined for Edenya, an impressive new universe within the park. Thanks to our own customs department CMC and the guarantee of a single point of contact for all shipments, we were able to offer exactly what Pairi Daiza needed: structure, expertise, and peace of mind.
