Joining forces in air freight

The Brucargo air freight activities are experiencing an upward trend. Gosselin Logistics is reinforcing its presence by further professionalizing its import and export services, customs and clearance activities and by expanding the team. The Brussels airport is also undergoing further expansion to become the Gosselin Group’s European platform.

New and familiar faces

The air freight team is made up of new and familiar faces. Martine Vermoesen has been active in international logistics more or less her entire career, and in her position as air freight manager is now sharing this rich experience with the team at Brucargo. This team has also welcomed a few new employees. “These are people who are all incredibly motivated. It’s really cool to be able to work with them.”

In 2005, Martine and her husband, Thierry Légère, started the company Crosstainer, and she focused entirely on imports from China and India. “Hilde Crombez was our first employee. The company later grew to become an organization with a staff of 30 and in 2015, we were acquired by Gosselin. In the meantime, Hilde is responsible for her own team of five employees, a group with a total of 90 years of experience between them in air and ocean freight. Her team serves the Flemish market from the Gosselin office in Rumbeke, Roeselare. It is a complete coincidence that the air freight team is nearly entirely composed of women. It was never a conscious decision, but it happens to be a formula that works!”

Motivated teams, here and in Asia

These teams offer their customers fast, digital solutions. “The recent changes in our agent network also provide an unsurpassed dynamic,” Martine continues. “Gosselin owes its strong presence in Asia to the Crosstrades OBL partner network that is currently active in around 70 countries. Thanks to the high volumes handled within this network, we can offer better service and space guarantees.”
