Gosselin gives four-year-old fan a guided tour

We receive requests via our social media channels on a regular basis, but when we read the message from four-year-old Noah-Washington, we definitely had to respond! When the father of Noah-Washington told us about his four-year-old son’s dream to come work for Gosselin, we were more than happy to put together a guided tour for him.

“Guided tours at Gosselin aren’t something we regularly give,” explains Marc Eennaes, Operations Director. “On weekdays, it’s really busy at our container terminal and we have to be able to guarantee people’s safety during a visit like this. This is why we opted to have our young fan come by on a Saturday afternoon. It’s quieter then, but if an inland navigation vessel would be coming to load or unload, he would be able to watch everyone work, and see the crane in action.

It took a while to figure out which Saturday a ship was expected to dock, but Noah-Washington didn’t have to wait that long. He, his father, and his sister Amber were given a fluorescent vest to wear and were shown around by Marc. They walked around one of our warehouses, and Noah-Washington and his sister were even allowed to sit in a stacker, explore the ship’s cabin, and climb our newest port crane. What an adventure!

“It was a really fun tour,” according to Noah-Washington’s dad. “Everyone was so patient, and Marc spent a lot of time with my son. The ship and the huge crane were his favorites. He’s now completely on board, and wants to come work for Gosselin later on!”

Pairi Daiza collaboration - A cactus of considerable size

The most remarkable transport that Gosselin carried out in its collaboration with Pairi Daiza? Without a doubt, the impressive cactus, Pachycereus pringlei, from Tenerife, one of the most emblematic plants of the world’s largest tropical greenhouse, Edenya.

An exceptional project in full bloom: Gosselin and Pairi Daiza

Pairi Daiza was looking for a reliable partner to handle all aspects of importing plants and materials from outside Europe. Everything was destined for Edenya, an impressive new universe within the park. Thanks to our own customs department CMC and the guarantee of a single point of contact for all shipments, we were able to offer exactly what Pairi Daiza needed: structure, expertise, and peace of mind.
